The world tells you that your faith is a private matter and not to be discussed publically. But, Jesus commands His followers to be anything but private about Him. In fact, He calls every one of His followers to “Go Public” in a very specific way: Baptism. Today, we will use Jesus as our example and the Bible as our guide to “Go Public” with Christ.
Gospel of John: Jesus is the King of the Storm
Everybody loves the idea of Jesus feeding thousands of hungry people on a hillside, but many have trouble believing that Jesus would intentionally send his followers into a raging storm. Why would Jesus send His followers into danger on the Sea of Galilee? In order to save them from a greater danger: Self-Reliance. Jesus is the King of the Storm in John 6:15-22.
