The Treasure of Influence

Text: Esther 1:1 - 10:3

We welcome Pastor John Welborn, Crosslink’s former Lead Pastor, who is now serving at Salem Church in Staten Island, NY! Pastor John brings a message challenging our church to examine how we are to steward the influence that God has given us. He uses the example of Esther - preaching a narrative sermon through the entire 10 chapters of the book! From Esther’s example, we can learn that we are loved and accepted by God, that we are called to use our God-given influence for the Lord's glory, and to shine the light of Christ in our world.

John Welborn was called to be the Senior Pastor of Salem Church in Staten Island, New York on October 30, 2015, but his passion for the city and ministry through Salem date back long before that. For nearly a decade, Pastor John and his wife, Ashley, have been leading outreach teams to Staten Island to assist the ministry of Salem, and were key leaders during the crisis of Superstorm Sandy. Prior to being called to Salem, he was Lead Pastor of Crosslink Community Church for seven years and served as an evangelist for seven years before that. Follow Pastor John on Twitter @JWWelborn. Unshaken in Our Convictions About Money

Text: Psalm 15:1-5; 2 Corinthians 8:7-9

We are saved by faith alone, but true saving faith is never alone. Because we are made a new creation, God changes us completely from the inside out. In this message from Psalm 15, we discover the fifth key characteristic of the person who stands firm in their faith. This characteristic is a powerful trait that is relevant in our culture today. We invite you to listen closely so that you can stand unshaken!
