One Another: Be Devoted to One Another

Text: Romans 12:9-13

Are you a devoted individual? Many are devoted to a sports team, a favorite restaurant, a political party, etc. without any reservations. But are you devoted to people, especially those in the body of Christ? Are you completely dedicated to others who may look differently, see things differently, or talk differently than you? In this message we are reminded that in the body of Christ there is great diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and gifts. However, in Christ we all share the same calling to be devoted to one another in brotherly love. This message explains what this looks like and challenges all believers to be like Jesus in our love and devotion to one another.

One Another: Admonish One Another

Text: Colossians 3:14-17

One of the great joys of the Christian life is that we share a common fellowship in the Body of Christ – the Church. We aren’t left alone to do life by ourselves because we have the Holy Spirit and other believers who are there to encourage us and help us to grow. One of the many ways that we grow is through faithful and loving “admonitions”. Though we naturally resist confrontation and avoid it all costs, the fact is that we occasionally need it. This message shows us how God uses these “admonitions” to mold us and equip us for His purposes in our lives, revealing practical advice for how to give, receive, and respond to these vital moments in life.

But what does this look like? What steps should we take to get there? In this message, we learn how to put our love for one another into practical action in the way that we serve others. Our serving is so simple, yet it reveals so much about the condition of our hearts. Please listen today and consider what steps the Lord would have you to take.
