Worship 1-2-3: One Object of Worship

Text: John 4:19-24

As Christians, worship is something that we do often, but don’t talk about a whole lot. This Sunday, Pastor Scott begins a 3-week series on worship called Worship 1-2-3, which will give us a biblical foundation for worship! In this first message, we’ll be exploring John 4:19-24 where a Samaritan woman begins asking Jesus questions about worship. We’ll answer 3 questions - What is Worship? Who Are We to Worship? and How Are We to Worship? We invite you to tune in to discover the answers to these questions and grow in our worship of the Lord!

More Than a Name: Our Identity in Christ

Text: 1 John 5:9-21

Much of the world today makes a big deal about our individual identities. The world says, “Be your own person. You do you. Be who you want to be,” etc. As a result, we all set out to discover who we are so that we can be our own person and live our best life now. In doing so, people often find their identity in all sorts of things – their possessions, their “people,” power, pleasures, and all sorts of things which ultimately do not matter in eternity. What matters in eternity is whether or not we know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only when our identity is found in Christ that we can know the joy of eternal life and fulfill the purpose for which we were made. We invite you to listen today to discover all that we have available to us in Jesus.
