Title: Only Jesus Can Give You a New Wardrobe
Text: Colossians 3:5-11
As we study the book of Colossians, we see that the first two chapter of the book are rich with theology and reveal a great deal about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. But in chapters 3 & 4, the book takes a bit of a turn. We move from explanation to application; from knowledge to action. In Colossians 3:5-11, the apostle Paul shows us how to put our faith into practice by specifically encouraging us to “take off our old selves and put on our new selves” just like taking off old, dirty, smelly clothes, and replacing them with brand new, custom made clothing without spot or blemish. In this message titled, “Only Jesus Can Give You a New Wardrobe,” we’ll see several sins that we are to take off, the consequences of those sins, and how to be renewed daily in our fight against temptation and sin.
