When you think of a shopping cart, what comes to mind is consuming/buying/receiving but when you think of a shovel, what comes to mind is work/sweat/construction. As followers of Jesus, we are not supposed to approach our local church with a shopping cart, tying to see all the things we can get out of it. But, instead a shovel, realizing that we are called to serve others. Calvary Cross-link must “Be the Church that Serves Others.”

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen our need to be a church that pays the price, that accomplishes the mission, to be the church with a big heart, and today we’re going to see that we need to be the church that passes the baton.

The Bible teaches that everything we have belongs to God. That places us in the position of steward or manager of God’s stuff. Today we will look at what God desires for His church and His stuff. It is time to Be the Church with a Big Heart!
Be the Church that Pays the Price
The 2,000 year success story called “the church” is both unexplainable and undeniable. But, many within the church are not aware that the success of the local church has been on the commitment of those willing to pay the price! Jesus paid the ultimate price for our freedom, we must pay the immediate price for His kingdom because love pays the price!
