Faith Under Fire: Living with Hope

Title:  Living with Hope
Text: 1 Peter 1:1-9

Trials are a reality of life for all people. However, as Christians, we have a living hope that is founded in the living Word and focused on our living Savior. Regardless of what trials we face, we have the confident assurance that He is still in control of all things and that our present sufferings will result in future glory. Because of this, we can love Him, trust Him, and rejoice in Him even more knowing that each day takes us closer to home.

Strategically Serving

Title: Strategically Serving
Text: Luke 10:38-42

Strategic is a word that means having a plan or method to achieve a particular goal or result. In this sermon Pastor Michael challenges us that Jesus has a plan for how we are to serve. We can easily get caught up by the many distractions in serving like Martha did in Luke chapter 10. Her sister Mary demonstrates what Jesus’ plan is for each of us to be able to effectively serve – that we sit before Jesus before we serve Him and others. Serving is necessary in the body of Christ; how we serve is more important than the action itself.

Graced to Give: The Beauty of Giving

Title:  The Beauty of Giving
Text: Philippians 4:10-20

Giving generously of our time, talents, treasures, and things may be painful and difficult. However, we learn from God’s Word that giving sacrificially and willingly of all we have is “a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.” From God’s perspective, it is a beautiful thing when we follow His example of generosity.
