Called to Commit: The Church and Its Ministries

Text: Romans 12:1-13

Every believer has been called and uniquely gifted by God to edify the church. How we respond to this calling is a direct reflection on our relationship with Christ. What does your commitment to the church demonstrate today about your commitment to Christ? If you're not sure how to answer, then be sure to listen to this week's message. It will encourage you and help you to understand the importance of both.

Called to Commit: The Church and Its Mission

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:14-21

What is the mission of the church and are you committed to it? Unfortunately, many believers have a difficult time accurately defining the mission of the church. With the many needs in the world, it is easy to look at the church simply as a force for goodwill and good works. Additionally, many believers distance themselves from their role in the mission. The mission, they think, is to be carried out by the pastors, key leaders, and specially gifted personnel. There is good news today. We don’t have to be confused about the mission or our role in it. Jesus clearly defines the mission in Mark 16:15 and clearly describes who is to be involved. If you want to learn more about the mission of the church and your part in it, please be sure to listen today.

Just as commitment to the church is modeled by the Master and by the ministers, it is also prescribed for every member. Be sure to listen today to discover the calling and the joys of being a member of a local church.

Called to Commit: The Church and Its Ministers

Text: 1 Peter 5:1-5

We live in a 'have it your way' culture where it seems that nearly everything is catered to our likes, preferences, and wants. Cell phone apps, streaming services, fast food restaurants, and many of our modern conveniences help us create a life that is centered around us. Unfortunately, this way of life has also impacted the way that many view the church today. When it comes to the church, is it really about having our way or is it about living God's way? In this second message from the sermon series, we are once again reminded of the call to commit. From both the example of Christ and of His shepherds, God shows us clearly that His will for us is to commit to the local church for His glory and for the good of others.
