Text: Philippians 3:2-21
There are many things in life that we may pursue, but there is no greater pursuit in life than the one described in Philippians 3, the pursuit of knowing Jesus fully. The more we know Christ, the more we want to know Him, grow in Him, and be like Him. This relationship begins by grace through faith, but we must be intentional if we are to continue growing in this relationship. Paul likens it to an athlete who is running a race and pursuing a great prize. An athlete knows that if he wants to win the prize, there is great focus and effort that must be faithfully given, and Paul understood that living a victorious Christian life requires the same. His focus was clear, his aim was steady, and he was wholeheartedly pursuing Jesus, and in doing so, he provides an incredible example for us as we seek to do the same. We pray that you will be encouraged and challenged today to keep pursuing a deeper relationship with the Lord.
